For the best make up on your wedding day, the key really is preparing your skin! Great skin is essential to your make up lasting and most of us have a dehydrated complexion. Even those of us that have oily skin could potentially also be suffering from dehydrating which could directly be making our skin appear even oilier! So to get our complexion in tip top condition there are just a couple of steps for perfect wedding day make up.

In the lead up to the big day most of us want to shed a couple of pounds, but be careful fat-free diets can deprive our bodies of skin-friendly Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs). This can result in that itchy, tingly dryness or scaling and leave skin looking rather dull. So go on…have a cheeky burger once in a while.

First it’s the engagement, then you find the dress and topped off by the infamous hen doo but excess intake of alcoholic beverages can also contribute to dry or dehydrated skin. Try have an alcohol detox in the lead up to the wedding and keep sociable drinks to minimum, when you do find yourself having a few too many after a long week make sure you drink plenty of water to rehydrate your skin!
